Many local businesses go to great lengths to cater for disabled customers, but there is still a long way to go before Cambridge is as accessible and welcoming as we know it could be.

We have supported the scheme since its launch in 2004, and are keen to encourage actions that benefit Cambridge's disabled citizens and visitors.  The 2010 winners were Richard Thompson's Taxis and Cambridge on Ice.

For the 2011 ceremony, the Way to Be award will be presented at the Love Cambridge AGM on 15 September.

The Love Cambridge Charter Awards will be presented at the same event.

Love Cambridge Charter

The Love Cambridge Charter has been developed to assist city centre businesses and organisations to address three areas which will help improve everyone’s experience of Cambridge.

Love Cambridge

The Charter:

  • promotes excellent customer service within the city
  • promotes ways in which we can improve the physical appearance of our streets
  • offers guidance on how taking small steps in reducing your carbon emissions can contribute to tackling climate change.
