We are currently reviewing our statement of licensing policy, which will come into effect in January 2011.
The statement includes a cumulative impact policy to cover circumstances where a significant number of licensed premises in one area have an impact on nuisance and disorder.
This covers areas in the city centre, the Cambridge Leisure Park and Mill Road.
We need to keep these policies under review to assess whether they are needed any longer or whether they need expanding.
Consultation
We are undertaking a 12-week public consultation on the draft policy, between 14 June and 5 September 2010.
Your contribution is important to us in deciding the final content of our policy and all comments will be considered, although we will not be able to respond individually to each comment.
- Download the draft statement of licensing policy - this document shows tracked changes from the previous version
- Download police evidence in support of a cumulative impact policy (PDF, 5MB)
- Download a letter to businesses explaining the policy and consultation
The consultation closes on 5 September 2010.
We will publish the results of the consultation on our website in October 2010 and the final policy in January 2011.
